Starting wafers are the main cost component in manufacturing solar cells. Finished PV cell electrical performance is significantly impacted by the starting wafer electrical performance. Eliminating the wafer as a detractor of yield and efficiency will enable optimized cell processing, and more predictable cell manufacturing.
